INSTRUCTIONS

Preparation Required

# This would be a good recipe to use one of those ayurvedic oil mixes like Vatika or Bhringaraj oil.  Or turn it into a treatment with Black CUMIN seed oil or Mustard seed oil
# Sit the bowl in water or on top of a small pot and let it boil for 2 to 4 hours (The longer you let it simmer, the more the oil absorbs the herb)
# Strain

# Put PHASE A into 1st glass bowl or mason jar
# Put PHASE B into 2nd glass bowl or mason jar

If you're using two bowls:
# Place 1st bowl over a small pot of water
# Place 2nd bowl over another small pot of water
# Heat both pots of water for 20 minutes

If you're using two mason jars:
# Place both jars into a pot big enough for both of them to stand without touching each other. Put enough water inside the pot to last more than 20 minutes.

Continue below:

# Pour PHASE A (waters) into PHASE B and mix for about 2 to 5 minutes
# You should now see a white emulsion
# Let cool for 5 to 10 minutes
# Add COOL DOWN ingredients and mix again
# This will be lite and will feel hydrating

MY NOTES

# This recipe uses 2 humectants to help with retaining moisture, and a protein to help the hair.  Its another recipe for people who don't want that heavy, "oiled" feel.  (I love the heavy 'oiled' feel, btw).

# Formula is low in oils and contains Stearalkonium chloride. Stearalkonium chloride is thought to be good for fighting frizz and for detangling.
