Gum Arabic is ANIONIC is nature. Because of this, it SHOULDN’T be used with BTMS-25 or BTMS-50. Your mix will not be stable. It may refuse to thicken at all if you use gum arabic in the water phase before heating. Your emulsion will separate.

Tips

DO NOT use a chelating agent with water-in-oil emulsions, or ELECTROLYTE-SENSITIVE polymers, or conditioners or cationic ingredients. Also, don't use chelators when you're making a product containing magnesium or clay.
